Since entering into a Land Access agreement in 1998, NYFL has been the Traditional Owner representative organisation for the area on which the Woodside-operated North West Shelf Joint Venture project operates.

NYFL's Sports and Wellbeing Program is supported in-part by Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and the NWS project.

NYFL's Community Resource Centre is made possible through support from the The Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety.
